Lifeboat Station

Description

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) crews have saved over 142,200 lives since 1824. Their 24-hour search and rescue service operates from 238 lifeboat stations around the UK and Ireland.

This station at Polpeor Cove on The Lizard Point closed in 1961 and was replaced by the new station at nearby Kilcobben Cove, half a mile to the east.
