Large Spiny Lizard basking on rocks

The Starred Agama or Spiny Lizard is known locally as Kourkoutas. It is the largest native lizard of Cyprus. Being a cold blooded reptile they can often be seen basking in the sun. If disturbed they are quick to takes cover in between rocks.
